• When are your parties held, and how early can we arrive?
Party slots are available for bookings on SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, SOME PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, and on certain periods during the year when Art Boot Camp is not conducting regular classes (Click here to view Annual Calendar for dates when Art Boot Camp is not conducting regular classes). You may arrive 30 minutes prior to your party if it’s held at Art Boot Camp. Typically, our slots for parties are as follows:
Saturdays, Sundays & Some public holidays: 10am-12pm or 2pm-4pm
**Timings indicated above serve as a rough indication. We will try our level best to be as flexible as possible in trying to accommodate you’re preferred time slot and duration of party, depending on prevailing circumstances. Please feel free to talk to our friendly staff at time of booking.
• Is the price of the party the same if I hold it on a public holiday?
No. There’s a 20% surcharge on the total package price if the party is conducted on a public holiday. There’s a surcharge if you wish to conduct the party out-station, i.e. at your place.
• What about the available party slots during the Vacation Periods?
Typically, during the month of December or during other periods when Art Boot Camp is not conducting classes, party slots are typically open for booking throughout the day – EVERYDAY, INCLUDING WEEKDAYS!!! Advance booking during these periods strongly encouraged!!!
• What types of things do you do at a party?
A typical party includes children creating individual and/or collaborative pieces of art keepsakes and may incorporate the use of some of the following: music, unique games (usually non-competitive), dance/movement games, treasure hunts, acting out stories, etc. At Art Boot Camp, we understand and thoroughly enjoy children, so your party will be a wonderful experience!
• How long are your parties, and how is the time spent?
Our parties typically last about 2 fun-filled hours. 1 hour 30 mins for arrival, Art activities and party; 30 minutes for cake-cutting etc. Extensions beyond respective package timings allotted are charged on a per- half-hour or part thereof basis. The onus of time management throughout the course of the party rests on the hosting parent, in consultation with Art Boot Camp staff.
• How can I pay for my Birthday Party?
Payment for birthday parties is strictly in CASH OR CHEQUE TERMS ONLY. A deposit is required at time of booking to secure your preferred party slot. Booking must strictly be made in person at Art Boot Camp. Bookings with less than one month’s notice require payment in full at time of booking, with if excess balance to be settled at the end of the party.
• Do you have a refrigerator?
No
• What ages are your parties intended for?
1-15 years. Content is altered, dependent on the request, so that activities are age appropriate, even for mixed aged-groups of children attending.
• Who runs the party, and how are behavioral problems handled?
Art Boot Camp staff conducts all parties. Although such occurrences are rare, parents are responsible for any out of the ordinary behavior problems, and for adherence to the rules.
• How far in advance should I reserve a date for my party?
Reservations are recommended two months in advance. However, some dates will be available with less notice, and some unavailable with more notice. Timely advance payment would guarantee reservation of the slot.
• How many children can/should I invite, and when do you need to know how many children will be attending?
Art Boot Camp is capable of conducting parties for up to about 40 children, dependent of course on some other factors e.g. age groups of the children attending; number of adults, food catered etc. A final minimal head count is needed at least four days prior to the party in order to facilitate our preparations for your party.
• What should I bring to the party?
You should bring party favors, cake, candles, and food and beverages (we cater the food for the children, at an additional fee). We have a lighter and cake servers.
